Obituary of William Joseph Walsh
Walsh, William (Billy)
Billy is survived by his son, Jaime and grandchild, Jacob, Jacob’s mother, Faleesha; mother, Peggy (Hogan); brothers, Gary (Judy), Calgary, AB, Anthony, Edmonton, AB, Christopher (Tracey), Beaver Bank, NS, Jeffrey (Noreen), Calgary, AB; and only sister, Suzanne (Greg), Fredericton, NB. He was predeceased by his father, William (Bill). He leaves 10 nieces and nephews, Falon, Kira, Emma, Catrina, Alexia, Wyatt, Steven, Garrett, Vincent, Courtney. He also leaves his loyal and constant companion, Sam.
Billy graduated from Annapolis Royal Regional Academy and attended Dalhousie University. He was a member of the maintenance section at Canadian Forces Base Cornwallis until its closing in 1994. A Charter staff member of the Pearson Peacekeeping Center, Billy was the Maintenance Manager until its closing. Billy was much loved as a Continuing Care Associate at Tideview Manor in Digby.
Billy was highly regarded by all whom came into his presence. He was a very generous and selfless person. Billy was always giving with his time and always willing to go the extra kilometer.
When not at Tideview Terrace, you could usually find Billy working away at his beautiful flower gardens around the yard. He had a passion for a few things in life besides gardening: rock music (the essence of his soul), hockey (especially his Toronto Maple Leafs), superhero memorabilia, playing golf, a nice strong cup of black coffee, and of course, any sweets he could get his hands on. It is true when they say "they don’t make them like that anymore". Billy will be deeply missed by all.
Special thanks to all of Billy‘s friends for their support, especially those with medical care experience who were so giving of their time and expertise with a special mention to his friends from Tideview Terrace. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Sandra and Alice for being by his side through it all.
