I met Billy when I started working in Cornwallis in 2007 and he was with PPC. Through our workplaces we got to know each other quickly and when he found out I'm a sports fan he wasn't long getting me involved in the hockey pool. We became friends and he many times would stop by and visit when he was walking the dogs despite the fact that my office is full of Montreal Canadiens paraphernalia. We would talk hockey, football, dogs and sometimes just life in general. He was always happy and upbeat about life. I still chuckle when I think of the time he lost a bet and had to wear my Habs jersey during our playoff pool picks. He couldn't wait to get it off and go home and shower. To Billy's family - you were truly blessed to have him in your lives. He was taken from us all way too soon. Billy I will miss your visits. You and Buddy have been reunited and when Sam's time comes may the 3 of you enjoy each other's company for eternity.

I am very sorry to hear about Bill's passing. He was one of the stalwart members of the PPC staff when I worked there. Bill could be trusted upon to make anything work, find a way to get something done and ALWAYS with a smile, a laugh and concern for his staff - He was a superb individual to work with and a joy to be around.
My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends. God Bless you Billy, you were one of a kind

We send sincere condolences, our thoughts and prayers are with Billy's family during this most difficult time. We first met Billy in 1979 just after he bought his house. My brother Gerry, Tim Kelly, and myself would stop in at Billy's for coffee listen to music and discuss the events of the day. He always had a positive out look on things we will miss his smiling face and laughter. Billy was one of the good guys. We will always remember him.

I got to know Bill through my mom, Barbie Farnsworth who resided at Tideview. Bill was an amazing person to all the residents of Tideview and was an inspiration of selflessness. When my oldest daughter Monica was having her wedding at Annapolis Royal Historic Gardens, I asked Bill if he would consider being Barbie's aid as I needed a nurse to accompany her on the handicapped bus. When I offered to pay for his kindness, he said no need, I'll do this for Barbie. This act of kindness among so many others will always be held dear to my heart. You will always be remembered.

I was saddened to find out that Billy had passed away. My condolences to his family.
I spent four years working with Billy at the Pearson Peacekeeping Center. I remember him as a hard working man who did everything he could to make the PPC a great place to work. Regardless of the challenges he faced he always keep a positive attitude and a smile on his face.
I have fond memories of the time that Billy and I spent together.

Dear Peggy, Gary, Anthony, Christopher, Jeffrey, Suzanne, Jaime and families,
I - and others - spent a lot of time playing cards, laughing, and listening to music with Billy ... we go way back, about 45 years. I always appreciated his deep knowledge of local issues and his concern for the community. But most of all, I'll miss our laughs. Rest easy, my friend.

My sincere sympathies to Bill's family . My heart aches for you .
Bill was a wonderful , caring , fun loving person . He had a way of making every resident & every family member feel special . On Mother's Day he gave all the Ladies in Dominion House a carnation & my Mom felt like she was so special . He was with us just before she passed away . I'm sure they are probably chatting up a storm right now laughing & teasing each other. It was obvious that he truly enjoyed his job . My Mom thought the world of him & he her . The world has lost a wonderful person & Heaven has gained another Angel. Rest in Peace Bill
