Stanley did a wonderful job of meticulously taking a picture of each house in Clarence a number of years ago. I would love to help post these if anyone knows where they might be found. lsorflaten@hotmail.com (Lydia Sorflaten, nee Marshall)

Wayne and Family,
I'm so sorry for your loss. I'll always remember Uncle Stanley's enthusiasm for ham radio and when as a kid visiting to see that tall tower in the back yard. I know I'll be reminded of him and Aunt Muriel whenever I'm passing through Bridgetown. With sympathy. Peter and Penny Neily, Valley, N.S.

Darelene and I were saddened to hear of Stanley's passing. He and Muriel were fixtures in our neighborhood for many years and they contributed to our community in many ways. Stan, of course, was always tinkering with one thing or another and he maintained his curiosity throughout the years. He was also ready to experience new things. A few years ago, Darlene and I drove home to Bridgetown in our Mazda Miata. I remember visiting Stan and Muriel and offering them a drive. I don't think that Muriel accepted the offer but Stan was keen and off we went for a drive through Clarence on a beautiful day with the top down. Although he was well advanced in years, Stan was up for the adventure and we had a great ride together. I will always remember his enthusiasm and his willingness to seize the opportunity. He will be missed. Please accept our sincere condolences on his passing.

Dear Wayne and family,
Jane joins me in sending our sympathy, love and prayers. Stan was a dear friend and he was the man we could call on to fix something at the church or parsonage. Always a cheerful smile and willing spirit to attend to the sound and video for services and funerals. He was a wealth of knowledge about Bridgetown and the people of days gone by. Stan touched all our lives. Be encouraged that he is with the Lord and with Muriel again. George and Jane Neily, High River, AB.

Dear Wayne and Family,
Our deepest condolences in the loss of your wonderful father.
Stanley was a gentleman and his keen sense of humor, along with the twinkle in his eyes, always made for interesting visits. He was a kind, and very dear man, who will be missed by all who knew him.
We are happy to think of the joy in heaven with he and your mother, Muriel, reunited.

I wish to extend my sympathy to Stan's family at this time of loss. Both Stan and Muriel were great neighbours once they moved to the east end of Bridgetown. Actually I had left Bridgetown by that time, but whenever I returned home they would greet me as a "neighbour" still. I will not long forget them.

Family and friends of Stan; our condolences to all of you. Stan and Muriel were such good friends over the years to Dad (Al Hall) and his first wife, Colleen, and second wife, Bette. Dad continued to enjoy visiting Stan and talking with him on the phone regularly. They shared a passion for amateur radio, and I remember lots of VE1FF & VE1WW conversations as a kid. Most of all, I remember a kind man who liked to serve others. Glad he and Muriel will be smiling together again.

Wayne, condolences to you and the family on the passing of your dad. He was a fine man and dad was always asking about him every time I was down. I believe that there are not to many left now that worked at Acadian Distilleries any more. Hold onto your memories and know that he will always be watching over you and now he is with your mom.
