To Ann and all of Sylvia's family, my sincere condolences. I always enjoyed working with Sylvia on various projects for the Historic Restoration Society. She was a delight, at all times - always with a sparkle in her eye, ready to share a laugh. I shall miss her, as I miss her sister, Elizabeth.

I was so sorry to hear of Sylvia’s passing. I knew her through my Museum work. She was tireless and devoted to her largely volunteer work to create a village of historic buildings in Dorchester NB. My daughter Lorraine had the good fortune to work in one of these museums in the summer of 1989. She has many fond memories of working with Sylvia, and grateful for the work experience.
Many will benefit from her vision for years to come.
My thoughts are with her family.

I was very saddened to hear of Sylvia's passing. I very fondly have memories of visiting her lovely welcoming home in my late teens, with her late son Alan, with whom I was good friends. Sylvia was truly such a beautiful soul, in countless ways, so accomplished but always very humble. I admired her very much. I was always so happy to spend time in her home and she always made me feel at home, in the truest sense.
With deepest sympathy extended, to all the family.

Sylvia Yeoman was always known to me as Mrs. Yeoman, as was custom in the days I grew up in. But she was always warm and friendly. It was a pleasure to have known her and although saddened by her departure I feel the much richer a person for having known her.
She along with Mark raised a wonderful family. And although I consider all of them my friends, her son James is undoubtedly one of my closest and dearest friends. And it is my belief that a person’s character is developed to a large degree by their upbringing. Consider that a compliment.
Even though years and space have separated us from regular contact, I will surely miss you, Mrs Yeoman.

Sylvia,
was ever a woman of such grace , generosity of spirit, whether , as others have written -
opening her door and home to a special occasion or a spontaneous call ;
digging in, in the early days of planting magnolias about the Court House....
contributing so much more , in Annapolis Royal and Granville Ferry.
Always, she had a great lilt to her voice, a natural sharing of delight in all she saw or remembered, her eyes keenly observant and with a sparkle.
Though admittedly rare in recent years, times shared with Sylvia, as well as with her sister
Elizabeth, were always very special.
Certainly for me , Sylvia , stands among the 'inspiring and mentor personalities ' of this community. Blessed have been those of us, whose path she crossed or shared.

I had the very brief pleasure of knowing Sylvia when my parents first moved to Granville Ferry and I would have the opportunity to visit. I remember her kindness in always having an open door and everyone being welcome to come in. We would go to her house after Church for some sherry and tea and at Christmas she did a lovely lunch with fabulous food and company. I felt it was an honour to have met her and was truly amazed by all her accomplishments, to which she was very humble. She had a great sense of humour and every time I met her or was in her company, she was smiling. I felt she was a true lady and had such an interesting life with more stories than she could ever tell! All my thoughts and prayers go to her family during this difficult time and they know how lucky we were to have known her.
