To Ethel and family and especially Sydney. My deepest condolences in the loss of Bill. He was a true gentleman and hard worker. I enjoyed his music, especially THE LIGHTHOUSE at all his friends' funerals. Sydney, I was so touched when you took him to your prom. What a wonderful memory for you. May your memories and faith help you all through this difficult time as you face the rest of your life without him. God Bless and Guide you all. Sincerely, Linda

Our deepest sympathy to the family. We did not know Bill well but always found him a very pleasant and helpful man. He did the lawn care at our church and did an excellent job. We will miss seeing him and chatting with him. May Heavenly Father bring you the peace you need at this time. Sincerely Phillip and Linda.

Uncle Willie and Ethel have always been in our home. Whether it is the birdhouse you crafted, the picture you painted, drying rack you built or the catch phrase 'Bub' that Mark and I have called each other ever since Mark met you years ago. You are always around us.
Willie, your laugh was from the bottom of your bellie; it was so infectious! You enjoyed the best 'jammed sandwich' ever and you blessed my children with your love of music whenever we saw each other. You were such a big part of my childhood and my memories are so vivid.
The 6000 km that separate our families now, do not make losing you any easier. I am terribly saddened that you left us all so soon.
As you are on your new journey, I hope my dad was there waiting for you. I will smile and think about you beating dad in a game a rummy, playing guitar together, laugh and slapping him on the shoulder.
Ethel, Rod, Pam, Jay and Carrie, I can not say anything to make this easier or better. I am so sorry you have had to go through this, as it is a terrible terrible life changing event. I can only hope you keep your good memories close.
Miss you all tonnes,
Love Always
Jill

Its with great sadness we have to say goodbye to uncle William and our hearts go out to Aunt Ethel and my cousins their spouses and his grand children not to mention the rest of his family and all of the lives that he touched on a daily bases. A hug a warm hand shake and a big smile was the norm for this man with a huge heart. The world needs more men like my uncle William and he will be missed. Even though we are 1500km away my children would so look forward to the visits from Ethel and William, because the smiles and hugs were infectious. We will miss you uncle William but you will always be in our hearts.

Ethel, I was so shocked and saddened to hear this morning of William's passing. I know he's had some health issues the last few years but hoped he had many more good years to come.
William was a truly lovely man, always willing to help others with that dear smile of his and that twinkle in his eye. I still remember many a time at 'Mom and Dad's', singing and playing a tune with Lawrence and the rest, Dad doing a little dance while sitting on the kitchen chair. And at many of the family gatherings across the road we could hear the laughter and music late into the night. Wonderful times. And now William is in a bigger band, waiting for us all to eventually take our places.
Ethel, Rod, Jay, and all, your hearts must be breaking today but the love he has given you will be with you always.
Our thoughts are with you,
Liz, Anna, and Emily

Dear Ethel & Family; Bill had such a true heart, a true-Christian heart. We weren't personal friends but he always took the time to say hello when we met up with him. It was always a pleasure to hear him play & sing. He is a huge loss to the community, as well as his family & church. We will miss seeing him going with his mower. God has a special place for him.
You are in our hearts & prayers.
