Obituary of Margaret Priscilla Smith

Smith, Margaret Priscilla – Age 86 of Bridgetown, passed away Sunday April 3, 2016 at Mountain Lea Lodge, Bridgetown. She was the daughter of the late Nellie (Bain) and Roland Spicer. Marg enjoyed passing time with pottery, quilting, gardening and curling, but always looked forward to the time she spent fishing at the cottage on Milbury Lake. Her greatest joy was her family. She loved being surrounded by her boys, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Marg was kind, loving and patient woman with a hint of mischief. You were always welcome for a cup a tea and her famous brown bread. She is survived by her sons, Brian (Patty) of Bridgetown, Greg (Hilda) of St. John’s, Newfoundland, Kevin (Jean), Belleisle, Hilary ‘Larry’ (Tracey), Bridgetown; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; brothers, Paul and Clayton; sister, Janet; many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by husband, Douglas; son, Robin; brothers, Wayne, Jerry and Jim and sister, Eileen. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of the Kaulbach Family Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Bridgetown. A funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 9, 2016 at the Bridgetown Baptist Church, with Rev. Brian Wallace officiating. A private family burial will take place in Riverside cemetery. A Special thanks to the staff of Mountain Lea Lodge, especially Cardinal Unit. Donations in Marg’s memory can be made to the Bridgetown Curling Club or the Canadian Diabetic Association.
