Obituary of Russell Stanley Brittain

Brittain , Russell Stanley, 88 of Parker Mountain Road, Granville Ferry passed away July 20, 2023 in Soldiers Memorial Hospital, Middleton. Born in Digby County he was a son of the late Nelson and Lavina (Sabean) Brittain. Russel worked for the Department of Transportation for many years. In his retirement years he enjoyed working on lawn mowers.

He is survived by his children: Donald (Angela), Judy, Robert, Richard, Alice, Debbie and Linda Wood; sixteen grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren and three special great grandchildren: Madison (the big one), Sophia (skipper), Emily (the baby); brother Leamon and sisters: Edna Everett and Lois Kennedy. Russell was predeceased by wife Marie, children: Eva Hill, Arthur, Peter and a son in infancy; brothers: Sheldon, Henry, Harris, Forest, Clyde and Clayton; sisters: Viola, and Laurena in infancy.

Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of the Kaulbach Family Funeral Home, Bridgetown. The family would like to thank the staff at the Veterans Unit at Soldiers Memorial Hospital for the excellent care they provided for Russell.
