Kaulbach Family Funeral Home Obituary Ellis, Ada Beatrice - 91, of Victoria Beach, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 13, 2012, in Annapolis Community Health Centre. Born in Black River, Kings County, she was the only daughter of the late Leverett and Mabel (Ells) Long. After attending Normal College in Truro she began teaching in her first school in Victoria beach at the age of 19. There she met the love of her life, Alvin, who became her husband of 66 years. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother and teacher, she was also dedicated to the work of Victoria Beach United Baptist Church. Over the years she served as treasurer, organist, clerk, president of the WMS, treasurer of the church Auxilary, and clerk of the Lower Granville United Baptist Pastorate for 50 years. Ada will be missed by husband Alvin; daughter, Vera Faye (Andy) Smith, Hilden; grandsons, Duncan, South Brookfield, and Darren, Las Vegas, Nevada; niece Lynda (Rick) King, Hansport; nephew, Larry (Mary Anne) Long, Black River; sisters-in-law, Ulla Hudson, Port Wade; June Story, Edmonton; Oriole (Robert) Titus, Grand Bay -Westfield, N.B. She was predeceased by her parents; brother, Ian; nephew, Bruce. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Kaulbach Family Funeral Home, Annapolis Royal. Visitation will be held 6-8 pm Friday, March 16, in Kaulbach Family Funeral Home, Annapolis Royal. A memorial service will be held 2 pm Saturday, March 17, 2012, in Victoria Beach United Baptist Church, Rev. Elizabeth Waugh officiating. Interment will follow in Garden of Peace Cemetery, Victoria Beach. Reception following in Church Hall. Family flowers only. Memorial donations may be made to the Victoria Beach United Baptist Church.
