Peter became our friend, our teacher and our storyteller over the last couple of years. I feel like I know the Valley so much better because of his intimate and often mischievous spinning of stories that covered his life over his many years here in Annapolis. Thank you for being such an interesting character my friend. You'll have the big guy up in the sky chortling soon no doubt.

Peter was a great friend to us at Elements intentional community on Church Street. Our properties share a fence line. Peter was very knowledgeable on the history of the land and shared many wonderful stories with us. We shared many laughs and meals together. He was particularly interested in the timber frame home we are building. We were very much looking forward to many more stories and showing Peter our finished home, he will be missed by all of us. R.I.P Peter and thanks for the memories.

Our Deepest Condolences to Jackie, Tammy & family. Pete & I were friends a long time, hunting & dogs brung us together. Had some fun times & laughs & debates. We consoled and advised each other on a lot of issues had a good many things in common. He traveled with me on a good many farm calls and I remember when I had a new 1985 4x4 truck and went to go up modern mt and truck was sliding off in ditch and I said I'll show how 4x4 works and off into ditch we went, I did manage to get out and Pete said don't bother showing me how 4x4 works again ! Lol The night we spent at Last Hope Camp with his nephew in tow. I never laugh so hard that night. One evening we were up to 2 am in morning building and fitting a door jam for Hicks camp and a few nights he sleep on our coach. I remember him asleep holding our son Alex what a dear picture. Alex called him uncle Pete. Pete knew a lot of people and had a lot of wisdom which I respected. He put on the tough act but cared & loved deeply. I will dearly miss him, May he rest in peace.

RIP, Peter you worked hard not only for you ,but the help you gave to others.l will never forget the help you're dad gave me.l was home but everyone else was at work or somewhere. So l went down town hoping l could find someone to help me. Well there was Peter Foster,we have always known each other but you couldn't call us friends. I walked over to Peter and said l need help, all he said was what do you need,l told him he said ok. But l said you can't tell anyone he said no problem. We became good friends after that. He was a very good man.l had a lot of respect for him. He usually stopped in at least once a week in the warm weather and once in a while in winter. My condolences to the family,he was so proud of his girls, never visited that he didn't speak of them and his son in law David .

Jackie and the Foster Family,
I remember at a very early age Peter walking across the street down behind Simi Jackson's house, going fishing with a fly rod, his hat, vest and a Creole basket to put his catch in. That's when we lived on Church Street. I had a chance a year or two ago to see Peter at David Whitman's camp on the river. He sat around with the boys having a beer and chewed a yarn with us. It was a good time because all the boys were hunters and fishers, we were telling old stories, it was a great time.
My condolences to the Foster Family at this difficult time.
