On behalf of the Jones clan, we send condolences and much love to Pat and the boys on the loss of this wonderful man. Roy was a great friend to our father and we all loved him dearly. His smile was as big as his heart and he will be sadly missed by so many. I hope that placemat is still at the head of the table when we stop at the legion for a final Alpine toast to Roy. Love to all Pat ❤️

I remember as a kid growing up, my Dad saying what a wonderful person "Roy" was. I watched with excitement as he was making our floors perfect. I wasn't very old at the time. Then I got the opportunity to watch "Roy" play ball. Still a young kid, riding my bike to the ballpark and seeing how great an athlete he was. Then, by fluke, I was fortunate enough to play ball on the same team. He was still as great then as he was when I watched him many years before. I am so fortunate to reconnect with Roy when I would see him on occasion during the past few years. One thing never changed. His amazing smile.
Rest in Peace Roy.

So very sorry Pat to hear of Roy's passing. I have never read an obituary more true to the person it is written for than this one. Roy absolutely will and always has been thought of as a kind and genuine person. We will surely miss his smiling face and his ability to take an abundance of teasing when he came to the lab. We had never seen him without that beaming smile and he was always ready for whatever crazy antic us girls would greet him with. He came to mean so much to us. He will be missed by all. Sending our condolences from the Soldier's Memorial Lab.

There are no words , Roy made such an impact on people's lives including ours. He was so kind and genteel and very much loved. We had the privilege of being in High School with him and also worked with him long ago. When he would stop in or meet up with us , it was always a great chat. Always with a big smile , so much like his mum. Our condolences to Pat and their boys , his brother Jeff and all of his siblings. Hang on to your memories. Roy , you will be so missed , RIP dear friend.

Our thoughts are with the family at this time. Roy was such a kind, gentle man, and had a wonderful sense of humor.
