Barb always had a smile and cheer about her the led me to smile with her. Whenever we visited Nova Scotia to see Nana, Julia & Barb and then Nana and Barb, and then Barb our time became limited as we started to just pass through. Barb is indeed in my mind as I think of our last conversation. Always asking how the kids were and how that little granddaughter was. She enjoyed children around and all the visits with everyone - especially with Carl and Linda when they showed up with the water. I am so happy Barb was able to settle into a place that is very loving with Carl & Linda in the apartment. She really loved it there mingling with everyone that visited there. Her cousin Linda took really good care of her (I'm sure Barb kept her going, laughing and smiling). We are so fortunate to have had Barb in our lives - she will always be remembered with a smile. Thinking of your love, care and joy you shared. Rest and say hello to Nana and everyone who has gone before us, Love you always

I have so many memories with Barb, and all of them a positive. Even in her 90s she was quick as a whip and always had a joke to say or a smile to share. As a child we would go visit her in Digby with Nan and Pop and she always had Cheerios around that she would sprinkle on the floor for visiting pups.
When she moved into Nan and Pops home, it was so nice to have her so close by. She became a staple at every family dinner, and always brought something yummy to add to the meal (often one of her signature pies- boy I will miss those). When asked if she wanted a glass of wine, the answer was always “yes,” and she always finished everything on her plate and dessert to boot.
I was often lucky enough to sit next to Barb at the table, and she always kept me entertained.
With covid, I have not been able to be home in a while. But I was lucky enough to visit Barb in the hospital during the summer. That was the last time I saw her. She was very soft spoken, but still the Barb I had known and loved for so long. We had a lovely visit and I will cherish that memory with all of the others.
I cannot physically be at the service, but I will be there online and in spirit.
Rest well Barb. I hope that in heaven you’re blessed with a vessel that allows you to do everything you want to do, that you have no more pain, and that you are surrounded by your loved ones. Say hi to Pop for me. Love you.

Sincere sympathy to Barb's family, especially to Linda Phinney and family. I remember as a young person, Barb often visiting the Morrison's house and how kind she was to the neighbourhood kids.
