I was so sorry to hear of Henry's passing and, like everyone, I can't believe that I won'the see his warm smile and hear his cheery "Hello!" again. Wonderful memories will stand you all in good stead in the years ahead. Henry oversaw the naming of Obendorf Cottage in honour of the work he and my dad did together in the firm belief that St. Anne's Camp was a place to make special memories. And they both did exactly that for many of us and our children for so many years.
But now they are both in a better place, with Betty and Hazel, watching their lessons to us all being put into practise.
God bless you, Henry, and all your wonderful family,
Elizabeth, Anna, and Emily

I knew Henry through his involvement with the NDP. To his family I wish the very best at this time. Henry was a special person and one I considered a friend. A true gentleman in so many ways. I am happy that I have the pleasure of knowing him and learning from him. May you (the family) find peace in knowing how good Henry was.
Blessings
Brian and Liz Noble.

i was told -by Henry- that the tree he and sister M were chased up by an upset father (for feeding green apples to the cattle, i think) is a tall tree. perhaps like his tale. i cannot forget his melodic voice as he mentioned that there was an ox goad used to do the chasing. i hope to read his local history notes some day; he was smart, nice and caring.

I am very sorry to hear of the passing of Henry. He was the baby of the Spurr clan and left us much too early. I know he has been ill of late, but unfortunately the body could just not go on. Always remember the good times in Perrotte when you all were growing up.
Unfortunately due to the virus Sandra and I are unable to attend his memorial.
Please take care and stay safe.
Love Rod
