I was deeply upset to hear this news. I haven’t seen Sonny for many years...but always assumed I’d run into him again and share a little jam on guitar. I don’t think there was a stronger example of humble wisdom and understated gifted talent. (Both with music and carpentry) He taught me a fingerpicking style I still use to this day. Sonny made an impact on all that he met, his soft personality, boyish smile and impressive intellect were always brought up, anytime his name was mentioned. A life cut short...but a life well lived. Our whole family is so heartbroken to learn of Sonny's passing. He will be missed by many. Such a great talent, not only with his music but he could fix anything.
