Dear Tony, Everett, Winston and family:
It's never easy to say good-bye to those we love. With all those precious memories, hold each and everyone of them near and dear to your heart as they will help sustain you through this most difficult time. And may it be of comfort knowing others do care and you're in our thoughts and our prayers.

My relationship with Theta developed over the last few years when she was a resident at both Crosskill Curt and Mountain Lea Lodge. She seemed truly ageless with her calm demeanour. She was a strong participant in the hymns sings we would have at Crosskill - rest in peace, Theta. I share condolences for her with the members of her family.

As a child I always enjoyed our visits with Aunt Theta and Uncle James at their home in Bridgetown. Aunt Theta always made us feel welcomed and like we belonged there .
I recall singing and card games and camping nearby so we had days to spend with them.
The last in the family has gone to reunite with the rest of the strongest and most loving group of people I have ever known.
There's sure to be a celebration going on.
Rest in peace Aunt Theta.

Dear Everett, Winston and Tony, please accept my condolences on the loss of your mother, Theta. It is not easy to lose one's mother, no matter what age. I always liked Theta and enjoyed seeing her in Inglewood, in town or at a BRHS school event, She was always positive, cheerful and interested in what was happening around her, including how other people, friends, neighbours and children were doing in their home, work and/or school life. I also remember how proudly Theta used to speak about each of you guys. You had your mother's love. May she rest in peace.
Sincerely,
Sheila Clements

Dear Family:
I first met Theta back in 1974 when my husband was student pastor in Inglewood and then I got to know her even better when I became her pastor in 2001. Yes, she was truly "a sweet lady" - very hospitable and easy going. I had many cups of tea at her house and some memorably tasty meals as well. Her love for her family was always evident - by pictures in her home and through the conversations we would have. I shall remember Theta as a woman with solid faith in her Lord Jesus, who loved to sing His praises.
My thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this sad time. May God grant you His peace. Elizabeth Legassie

Growing up in Inglewood, Aunt Theta would always watch out for us playing in the neighborhood. Her door was always open to run to for snacks, conversation. She was one I always wanted to visit when I would return to Inglewood. My deepest condolences to the family. She will be greatly missed.

To All of Aunt Theta's Loved Ones …. Please know that my heart aches for you. Aunt Theta had such a beautiful spirit and a heart full of love. She loved to tease "the young people" and wink with a twinkle in her eye, when she did. She was full of life and loved with her whole heart. She was always fair and supportive of young people when I was raising my family there. She was a blessing to many and I hope you draw comfort from others, knowing that your friends are with you in spirit and in prayer. RIP Aunt Theta, and you are remembered with love and thankfulness.
