Obituary of Alden Leon Spurr

Spurr, Alden Leon, 95 of Margaretville, Anna. Co. passed away September 10, 2019 at home. Born in Annapolis Royal he was a son of the late Eugene and Alice (Hunt) Spurr. Alden worked as an engineer with the CBC for many years, and was a veteran of WWII. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Kingston Branch, and the Greenwood Ham Radio Club.

He is survived by his wife the former Esther (LeCain), son: Darrell ; daughters: Deborah Ann and Shirley; step sons: Thomas and Darren; step daughter Kim; grandchildren: Stephen, Justin and Nathan; great grandchildren, Jameson, Seth and Sloan; step grandson Drew. He was predeceased by his first wife Evelyn, son Douglas; sister Shirley, brothers: Lawrence and Alfred. Cremation has taken place and a visitation and reception will be held at the Kaulbach Family Funeral Home, Bridgetown Wednesday September 18, 2019 from 1-3 p.m. with the Royal Canadian Legion holding a tribute service at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be in the Round Hill Cemetery following the visitation.
