Obituary of Barbara 'Gale' Everett

Please share a memory of Barbara to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

EVERETT, Barbara Gale - Smith's Cove, N.S. - At age 70, Gale passed away with her family at her side in the early morning hours of August 3, 2019 in the Digby General Hospital. Born on February 5, 1949 in Malton, Ontario, Gale was the daughter of the late Roy and Barbara (Donnan) Anderson.

Gale loved to cook and bake and had a great collection of recipe books. She loved to share what she made with everyone she knew. One of her great passions in life was shopping, with Avon and The Shopping Channel being among her favourites. Gale also loved to spend time outdoors tending her flower gardens and watching the cardinals and other birds in her yard. Above all, Gale loved her family and her three sons were the joys of her life.

Gale is survived by husband Blair; sons Michael of Bear River East, Jeffery (Shawna) of Big Valley, Alberta, and Kevin (Connie Rodgerson) of Digby; sisters Carol (Doug) McLeish of Digby, Linda (Bob) Swinson of Oshawa, Ontario, Colleen (Scott) Farrell of Oshawa, Ontario and brother Gregory Anderson of Mississauga, Ontario; fur baby Norton and numerous nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of the Kaulbach Family Funeral Home, Annapolis Royal, N.S. where a 'Celebration of Life' service will be held at 11.00 a.m. Thursday, August 8, 2019 with Pst. Leon Langille presiding. The family will greet everyone starting at 10.00 a.m. A reception will follow the service. Burial will take place at a later date. Donations in Gale's memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to a charity of your choice. Many thanks to the caring staff at the Yarmouth Regional Hospital and the Digby General Hospital.
