Obituary of David Alton Hayden

David Alton Hayden – 70, Granville Ferry, Annapolis County, passed away in QEII Halifax Infirmary on April 7, 2019.  Born in Annapolis Royal, he was the only son of the late Alton and Pauline (Johnson) Hayden.  David grew up in Port Wade, and then attended Acadia University for four years. He was a member of the Port Wade Baptist Church and held positions of Trustee and Deacon.  David was a heavy equipment operator; he and his father ran A&D Construction for 30 years.  He is survived by his loving wife Donna; sister-in-law, Blanche (Don) McEwan; several cousins.  A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Friday, April 12, 2019, in Kaulbach Family Funeral Home, Annapolis Royal, with Rev. Dr. Randy Legassie officiating. Burial will take place in Port Wade Cemetery, with a reception to follow in the Port Wade Church Hall.
