Perro, Joseph Valentine - 86, of Annapolis Royal passed away October 3, 2011 in the Soldiers Memorial Hospital, Middleton. Born in New France, Antigonish County, he was the son of the late Charles and Agnes (Cameron) Perro. Joe had worked for CP Telecommunication as a district Linesman for over 40 years. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus, a past board member of Children Aid Society, and spent countless hours collecting for various charities. He was also an avid curler and thoroughly enjoyed gardening. Joe is survived by his loving wife Marion of 57 years and by his children Lynn (Alan) Tidd of Digby; Paul (Pauline) of Parksville, B.C; Alan (Gabriella) of Dubai, U.A.E.; grandchildren Robyn, Clayton, Nicole, Eduard, Kathleen and Joey; and sisters, Sister Theresa of Antigonish and Eileen Scott of Cammore, Alberta. He was predeceased by brothers Archie, Donald, Ambrose, Lauchie, and Henry and sisters Jane, Annabelle, Claire and Helen. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of the Kaulbach Family Funeral Home, Annapolis Royal. There will be no visitation by family request. A funeral mass will be held Friday October 7 at 11:00 am from St. Louis Catholic Church, Annapolis Royal with Father John MacPherson officiating. Internment to follow in St. Louis Catholic Cemetery.
