Obituary of Gillian Grace Beckner

Beckner, Gillian Grace, 17 of Bridgetown passed away Feb 3, 2019 as a result of a motor vehicle accident. Born in Barrie ON, she was a daughter of David and Teri Beckner. Gillian was a student at Bridgetown Regional Community School where she was involved in many sports such as soccer, basketball, badminton, track and softball. When playing football with family and friends, more often than not, she could throw the perfect spiral. She played in the BRCS band, took piano lessons and had the amazing ability to play the piano behind her back. Gillian was always a very happy and positive person.  The sun always shone brighter when Gillian was around.  Her constant smile always lit up the room whether she was hanging out with friends or dribbling a ball down the basketball court. Gillian is survived by her parents David and Teri Beckner, sister  Megan at home, maternal grandparents Jon and Lynn Main of Upper Granville, paternal grandmother Connie Beckner of Barrie, ON, aunts, uncles, cousins and boyfriend Wesley Uhlman.  Predeceased by paternal grandfather Dennis Beckner and great-grandmother Norah Stephen. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held Friday Feb 8, 2019 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Kaulbach Family Funeral Home, Bridgetown. Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday from St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, Bridgetown with Father John MacPherson officiating. Interment will be in St. Alphonsus Catholic Cemetery.
