Obituary of Raymond Garfield Wiles

Please share a memory of Raymond to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved dad and grampy, Raymond Garfield Wiles. Born November 10, 1941 in Milton, Queens County, to the late Hardy and Doris (Frail) Wiles. Dad worked for Farmers Dairy for many years delivering door to door where he met and became part of the communities he served. Joining the Annapolis Royal Fire Department in 1966 Dad became a devoted member serving on many seats and acting as Chief in 1980. Dad loved the outdoors whether be in the garden or in the wood pile he was enjoying the task. He always had a good feed from the garden for us to enjoy. Spending time in the garage working on his mower or snowblower or watching the kids with their toys. Dad was always outdoors. Left with broken hearts are his children Heather (Darren) McWhinnie and Chipman (Julie); Bampy’s boys, Brandon (Kaitlyn), Stephen (Stefanie) and Cameron; sister, Juanita (Ron) Hewey; brothers, Richard (Linda) and Bruce; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, brothers William and James; nephew Greg. A Celebration of Life for Dad will be held 2:00 pm Saturday, January 12, 2019 in Kaulbach Family Funeral Home, Annapolis Royal with Rev. Dr. Elizabeth Legassie officiating. Following the service you are invited to help celebrate Dad at the Annapolis Royal Volunteer Fire Department. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations may be sent to the Annapolis Royal Fire Department or to the Annapolis Community Health Centre. We would like to thank Dr. Roop Conyers and the staff at Annapolis Community Health Centre for their care, kindness and support given to Dad. On line condolences may be sent to www.kaulbachfamilyfuneralhome.com
