Milbury, George "Kenneth" - 87 of Youngs Cove, Annapolis Co., passed away Sunday September 25, 2011, in Dartmouth General Hospital. He was a son of the late George and Mildred (Young) Milbury. He served during World War II with the North Nova Scotia Highlanders. He worked primarily in construction and carpentry; initially worked for V.C. Woodworth Construction which included constructing many buildings at Acadia University and a school on Grand Manan Island. From 1970 -1987 he was a National Defense employee at CFB Greenwood. His passion was working in the woods and upon retirement bought a tractor and spent many years happily cutting logs and firewood, loved to garden and until age 85 he had a large vegetable garden. He was an avid reader and thoroughly enjoyed the daily newspaper. He is survived by his wife of 58 years Isabelle (Sarty); daughters, Janet and Bonnie (Brian) both of Dartmouth; son, Dawson, Calgary; grandchildren, Wesley and Mitch; niece Kathleen Amero; nephew, Eugene Troop. He was predeceased by sisters, Lillian Troop and Frances Young. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Kaulbach Family Funeral Home, Bridgetown. Visitation and reception will be held 2-4 pm Wednesday, September 28, in Kaulbach Family Funeral Home, Bridgetown. No funeral service by request.
