Condon, Alice Lorraine – 88, of Granville Centre, passed away October 29, 2018 in Annapolis Royal Nursing Home. Born in Granville Centre, November 2, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Gordon and Muriel (Troop) Eaton. After graduating from the Annapolis Royal Academy, Alice taught for a year in Parker's Cove. From there she attended Normal College in Truro. She taught younger children for many years. Alice loved children, and through that love she planted many seeds of "the love of learning". These seeds helped so many become who they are today. She was devoted to her church and community, holding many positions over the years. But above all, Alice loved her family, and always put them first. She is survived by her sons, James (Shelley) and Lloyd, both of Granville Centre; Grandchildren, Mark (Sandra) and Nathan; great grandchildren, Madison, Paige, Emerson, and Grayson; brother, Charles (Marie) Eaton, Liverpool; nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Curtis. A visitation will be held 7-9 p.m. Thursday November 1, from the Kaulbach Family Funeral Home, Annapolis Royal. A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Friday November 2, 2018 in the Granville Centre United Baptist Church, with Rev. Dr. Elizabeth Legassie officiating. Burial will follow in Wadeville Cemetery. Donations in Alice’s memory may be made to Granville Centre United Baptist Church, Granville Centre Community Hall, or to a charity of choice.
