Irving, Winnifred Dolpha “Bobby” – Age 95, of Avonport, passed August 26, 2018 in Dykeland Lodge, Windsor. Born February 15, 1923 at home in Avonport, she was a daughter of the late Clarence A. and Mabel K. (Courtney) Holmes. She loved crossword puzzles, Scrabble, chocolate, a good murder thriller book, and was renowned for her cooking ability.  Bobby had a great love for her Volkswagen cars. She is survived by her son, Dan Irving of Avonport; granddaughter, Kate (Chris) Musgrave of Fort Collins, Colorado; son-in-law, Leo Dollen of St. Petersburg, Florida; sister-in-law, Phyllis Holmes of Hantsport; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, George Irving; son, Colin Irving; daughter, Susan Dollen; siblings, C.C. “Bud” Holmes, Frances Comeau, and Joan Geddes. A Celebration of Life service will be held 2pm Saturday October 13, 2018 in Avonport Baptist Church, with Rev. Gordon Delaney and Rev. Brian Keezer officiating. A private family burial will take place in the South Brookfield Cemetery. Donations in Bobby’s memory may be made to the Avonport Baptist Church.
