Obituary of Peter Stephen Brittain
Peter Stephen Brittain
It is with great sadness that the daughters of Peter Stephen Brittain announce the passing of their Dad, July 31, 2018, in the Halifax Infirmary, at the age of 53. Peter was born in Middleton, to Russell and the late Marie (Robichaud) Brittain. Peter was someone you could call a handy man or jack of all trades. He was a very hard worker, there wasn’t a job he couldn’t do or that he didn’t try. Working in many fields, driving trucks, picking apples, landscaping and fishing to name a few. Most recently he enjoyed his job with Dan Fulton in construction, spending many hours crack filling and painting. Peter was kind, and friendly to everyone. He was a loving father, who loved spending time with his girls, being funny, and going on adventures. He especially loved to spend time in the kitchen with the girls, he loved making all their favorite meals. Peter is survived by daughter, Sarah (Zinck) Slaunwhite, and her children, Darren, Nathaniel, and Christopher; and daughters, Isabelle and Adeline Brittain, and their mother Stacey Longmire; father, Russell; siblings, Richard, Linda, Donnie, Alice, Stanley, Debbie, Robert, and Judy; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased, by his mother, Marie; brother, Arthur and a brother in infancy; sister, Eva. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of the Kaulbach Family Funeral Home, Bridgetown. A celebration of Peter’s life will take place 2-4pm Sunday August 5, at the Three Rivers Community Centre, 41 Messenger Road, Torbrook Mines, a private graveside service will be held at Wadeville Cemetery at a later time.
