To Patsy and the entire Sabean family,
Dean was one of a kind...he was special to me and the entire Herbst family. We loved him as if he was one of our own! I for one cried really hard when I heard about the date God decided it was time for him to go to Heaven....sandwiched right in between my beloved husband Grogie's birthday and mine....that blew me away....I hope my husband was there with all of your other family members who have passed to help welcome you to Paradise.....Rest in Peace Dean and may God help you Patsy and your entire family deal with the sadness and heartache that you will be experiencing for quite some time...I will see you soon my friend, All my love, Karen Herbst Grogan

I am so sad to hear of Dean's passing; what a wonderful man. Such a part of the church as well.........how he shall be missed. I loved to go to church and see the both of you in 'your pew'...very comforting I must say.
It is not easy going through the difficulty of illness, as I am experiencing with my husband. But having friends who care and family, well that is just the best help imaginable.
Thinking of you Patsy..........I loved his smile

“There are so many things I want to say,
That every night I sit and pray,
Hoping you can hear me say,
I miss you and I love you.
You're in our hearts,
And there you'll stay,
And be remembered every day.
Forever I will think of you.”
I am beyond great full for the memories I got to have and feel beyond thankful that my children were able to share a small part of these memories. The love and pride gramps held for his family was unbelievable and this is what I will always carry with me. Love you always, RIP.

My sincere condolences to Patsy and family. I felt like Dean was a second father to me. He taught me the art of good wood working and that if you were going to build something, you had to take the time to do it right. I also spent time hunting with him and what a time it was. And yes, we were always successful. Dean had a gift for it. He will be a truly missed soul. Your work here is done and now it is our turn to continue your legacy. May you rest in peace with God Dean.

Dad......I don't know where to begin. You have been my role model of a real man. You have not only shown me a lifetime of love but how to love. I felt I was prepared for this inevitable moment, but when it finally arrived I was not ready to let go. The only solace I take in your leaving is that you had a heart for God and I know that I will see you again. Rest well dad, you have earned it. I love and miss you.
Your baby boy, Jimmy

To my Dad. I never got to say all the things I wanted to say to you dad. But as we sat together during your last days, I felt the things I wanted to say and when you smiled at me I knew you heard my feelings. I miss you so much and wish you were here to help us through this. Right now I feel alone and yet I have so many family members around me. You were our glue and without you it will be too easy to all fall apart. Please always watch over us and keep us together in your arms. I love you dad. Xoxoxo.

May the love of family and friends and your many memories see you all thorough the days ahead.
I knew of Dean (& Patsy) though my Dad and Mom: Len (Gord) and Jane Branton of Fairview. Dad was a finish carpenter and I believe that he worked with Dean. I know they kept in touch over the years and my parents even traveled to the valley to visit Dean and Patsy.
God Bless. Rest in Peace Dean.
