Obituary of Leah Jeanette Harlow

Harlow, Leah Jeanette, 84 of Bear River passed away at home on April 30, 2018. Born in Welsford, NS she was a daughter of the late Lorne and Gladys (Warren) White. Leah was a Scout leader for many years, and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Ladies Auxiliary. She was a foster mother to many and was a very loving and caring person. She especially loved having fun and a good time. She is survived by sons, Martin Downing of Crystal Beach, ON and Dean Downing of Fort Erie; daughter Janet Nowell of Niagara Falls, sisters, Barbara MacPhee of BC and Glendean Parker of Bear River; brother Wylie White of Delaps Cove; and was a grandmother and great grandmother to many grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Fred; sons Michael and David; brother Lewis. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of the Kaulbach Family Funeral Home, Annapolis Royal. A memorial service will be held Tuesday May 8, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. from the Bear River Baptist Church. Donations in Leah’s memory may be sent to the Canadian Cancer Society.
