Dear Bruce and the rest of George's Family, we were shocked and saddened to hear of George's passing. We were living in Bridgetown when he retired and moved "back home". In those days our paths crossed at the Curling Club. More recently it has been around the Golf Club.
Always a pleasant smile and a greeting and in Ruth's case a hug. Hard to lose a parent at any age and our thoughts are with you all. I can imagine him being a fun grandparent to the kids.. A fine gentleman indeed.
With sincere sympathy, Ruth & Phil Lake

Dear Bruce, Bill and family:
Sorry for your troubles. God love you! I have so many fond memories of us kids growing up together on Church Street, and even though we venture in different directions, its amazing how we still maintain those memorable attachments. Your Dad was a wonderful man and I always enjoyed the fellowship of working with him in the Lions Club. I can still recall how George beamed when I shared the story of Janet and I visiting you in the Bahamas and how you had picked us up in your sailboat at our Hotel on Paradise Island in Nassau and took us out sailing for the day to one of the outer Bahamian Islands. The swimming, picnic, coral reefs, and your many acts of kindness accorded to us that day were so truly appreciated and will never be forgotten. Bruce, we went to school together, were Baptized together, and I have so many good memories of the many good times we shared together and those too, also at the cottage in Hampton. All those precious memories of your Dad, hold them near and dear to your heart as they will certainly bring you a smile and help sustain you through this most difficult time. And may it be of comfort knowing others Do care and that you're in our thoughts and prayers. God Bless.
