Obituary of Christina Dawn Dunnington

Please share a memory of Christina to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Christina “Chrissy” Dawn Dunnington passed away peacefully in the arms of her family in the QE2 hospital on March 22nd, 2018 in Halifax, Nova Scotia at the age of 40.

Chrissy is survived by her parents Harold Dunnington and Joan (Crabb) Dunnington of Halifax, Nova Scotia and her siblings Elizabeth Deveau (Terry Deveau) Herring Cove, Catherine Jones (Doug Jones) Utopia Ontario, Dorothy Dunnington (Paul Irving) Fall River, Joanne Dunnington (Robert McCleave) Hatchett Lake, Melissa Dunnington, Dartmouth and Richard Dunnington, Dartmouth. She is predeceased by siblings Judith Dunnington and Russell Dunnington of Annapolis Royal, NS.

Chrissy was born on November 8th, 1977 in Middleton NS. At 6 weeks of age, she became a treasured member of the Dunnington family and lived most of her life in Granville Centre, NS. She attended Granville Elementary, Annapolis Royal Regional Academy and later graduated from Annapolis West Education Centre.

All who knew Chrissy loved her. Her sense of humour and unexpected one liners would have everyone around her happy and laughing. Chrissy loved music and Barbie/ princess movies. She could be found most days watching her large collection of DVDs. Chrissy could remember the words to a song she’d heard only once and often enjoyed singing along.

The love of Chrissy’s life was her Mommy. Her capacity for love and her all-consuming dedication to loving her parents was only matched by their love for her. She will be dearly missed by her entire family who are incredibly grateful to have known and loved her.

A visitation and funeral is scheduled for 10:00 am Wednesday march 28,2018 in Kaulbach Family Funeral Home Funeral Home, Annapolis Royal. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery with a reception to follow at Annapolis Royal Fire Hall. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Chrissy’s life. Family flowers only. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Easter Seals Nova Scotia or the charity of your choice. On line condolences can be sent to www.kaulbachfamilyfuneralhome.com

The family would like to thank Jody, Mary Kate and Alex, along with all the staff at 8.2 in the Halifax Infirmary for their care and compassion
