Dear Allister and family of Helen,
We are so sorry for the loss of your dear Helen. The last I saw Helen was picking berries with her sister at Pretty Mary Lake. She was her usual happy uplifting self. She was always such fun at quilting circle. Her smile will not be forgotten. It was a privilege to have known her.

Dear Helen. We will miss you. To Allister and the family, we enjoyed this dear woman's company and companionship over the years at the Moose River Rug Hooking Studio and for me personally, in the Cornwallis Community Garden where she often came to help and enjoy the gardens. I will miss her terribly. Bless her, her suffering is over.

My heart is heavy this Sunday morning as I have just learned of Helen' s passing. I loved and admired Helen. She was so honest and forthright and never took the easy way. She met life's hardships with the same good humour and grace that she did in good times. She lived an unselfish life, enjoyed the simple pleasures and accepted people as they were. That's how I experienced her. While working with Helen , I learned so much from her about speaking the truth with courage. My condolences to Allister and all her family, who she loved dearly and spoke of so often we felt we knew you.

Allister and all the family
Please accept our deepest sympathy and condolences in the passing of Helen. We have many happy memories of great times with you and Helen....motor cycle trips, and camping, ATV runs, cross country skiing, hiking, trips to both our camps, lots of fun times.
We ladies at Moose River Studio had many laughable hours of entertainment during our rug hooking sessions with her many stories..
Her personality was bigger than life, so considerate of others, and she never lost her sense of humour. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Rest in Peace, Dear Friend.

To Joan, Barbara, Sandra, Brian, David & your families, I wish to send my sincere sympathy for the loss of your dear Helen. She was a blessing to know and to have in our rug hooking group. Helen always kept us upbeat with her laughter, jokes, singing, cooking, and story-telling of her beloved Cape Breton and her family there. I had the pleasure of seeing some of her beautiful creations....quilts, rug hooked pieces, sewing and knitted socks for the boys. She was a wonderful woman and will be missed by all us who had the good fortune to call her 'friend'. God bless you!

To Helen's loving sisters, brothers and their spouses, we are very sorry for your loss. She was a wonderful friend. Thoughtful, giving and a delight to be with. I loved walking and rug hooking with her, munching her scones and cookies and eating her various soups. But above all, we will miss her laughter, her Cape Breton stories, and her singing. The beautiful quilt that she gave us will be cherished and triggerr fond memories. May she now rest in peace.
