It is with deep sadness and very heavy hearts, we, the family announce the passing of Dannie Fredrick Everett, age 79, who passed away in Yarmouth Regional Hospital, Sunday January 28, 2018. Born April 11, 1938, in Digby, NS, He was the youngest son of Raymond and Sophie (Lightfoot) Everett. Dannie was employed with Dominion Atlantic Railway and VIA Rail for 32 years; a job he was very proud of, retiring in 1990. He enjoyed doing Jigsaw and lexicon puzzles, going for drives in the country, loved his coffee and coconut cream pie, and anything to do with trains! Dannie loved his family very much and enjoyed spending time with them. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Gerrie Anne (Theriault); daughters, Kimberley Ann Purcell (Paul), Cindy Mae Everett (Bill) and his only grandson, Daryl Ashley Daniel Rice, who he thought the world of. Also survived by his brother, Laurie (Shirley) and brother-in-law, Ray Vincent; nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and sister, Shirley Helene. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Kaulbach Family Funeral Home, Annapolis Royal. A celebration of Dannie’s life will be held at Good Samaritan Community Church, North Range, Digby County, 2:00pm, Saturday, February 3, 2018 with Pastor Chuck Daniels officiating.
