Obituary of Vera 'Isabelle' Taylor

Taylor, Vera ‘Isabelle’ – 87, of Bridgetown, passed away peacefully December 12, 2017 in Valley Regional Hospital surrounded by her family. Born August 3, 1930 she was the daughter of the late Hallett and Eva (Awalt) Wilkins. Isabelle had dedicated her early years to raising her large family of 15 children, whom she loved dearly. That large family was followed by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and even some great great grandchildren as well. She later became very involved in her church and her lady’s group ‘The Red Hatters’. She had a heart of gold, and a very special smile. She a great love for sweets and other little treats, sneaking them when she could, and even when she knew she shouldn’t. Isabelle spent this past summer very happy, in her new home with Wade, sitting on the front deck. Being surrounded by her family, which she enjoyed, playing games and singing songs. She is survived by her loving children, Wade (Carolyn), Bridgetown, Susan Langille (Danny O’Neil), Centrelea, Elgie (Jill), St. Croix Cove, Randy (Mary), Alberta, Dale (Rex Walker), Waterville, Adam (Shelly), North Williamston, Dane, Bridgetown, Brenda, British Columbia, Krista (Eugene) Cress, Bridgetown, Ron (Shelley), Clarence, John (Janice Hebb), Kingston, Rosemary (Rick) Milner, Annapolis Royal and Danny (Susan), Kingston; daughter in-law, Peggy; 41 grandchildren; 59 great grandchildren, six great great grandchildren; sisters, Rhoda, Ontario, Marion, New Brunswick, Grace, Ontario, Joan, Quebec and Carolyn, Lawrencetown; brothers, Frank, Ontario, Gordie, Inglisville and Carl, Halifax. Other than parents, she was predeceased by husband, Douglas; son, Carson; daughter, Diane; grandchildren, Jamie, Kevin, Tammy, and Shawn; sisters, Dorothy, Ilene, Evelyn; brother, Lemoine. Visitation will be held 2-4 and 7-9pm Friday from the Kaulbach Family Funeral Home, Bridgetown. A funeral service will be held 11am Saturday December 16, 2017 from the Bridgetown Baptist Church with Rev. Brian Wallace officiating. Burial to follow in Riverside Cemetery.
