Obituary of Boyd Robinson

Robinson, Boyd Percy - 99 of Parkers Cove, Annapolis Co., passed away August 10, 2011, in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Parkers Cove, he was a son of the late Percy and Minnie (Milner) Robinson. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He is survived by sons, Arlen (Ann), Parkers Cove; Stewart (Dianne), Parkers Cove; Gary (Debbie), North Battleford, Saskatchewan; grandchildren, Holly, Ashley, Anthony, Eric, Victoria, Marilyn, Darren, Danny, Jason and Keri; 24 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild. Boyd loved life. He started at a very young age; his 1st job was starting the wood fire at his school. He got 25 cents a month and as he would say "they were the good old days". He then worked in lumber camps and was a fine cook. But most of his working days were with boats. He was a merchant seaman, fisherman, boat builder and a wharf engineer, a husband, dad and a loving grandfather. He was predeceased by his loving wife, Ruby Alma (Ellis); brother, Harold; sisters, Hazel Messer; Clara Robinson and Jean Longmire. Visitation will be held Saturday 7-9 pm, in Kaulbach Family Funeral Home, Annapolis Royal. Funeral service will be held 2 pm Sunday, August 14, in Parker's Cove Baptist Church with Pastor Jeff George officiating. Burial will follow in Parker Mountain Cemetery.
