I was saddened to learn of Goldie's passing. I have so many wonderful memories of her when she resided at Saunders Rest Home, just across the street from me. When I would do a monthly hymn sing with the residents, Goldie was the anchor upon whom I could rely knowing every one of the hymns and singing them energetically and clearly. I missed her presence when she went to Soldiers Memorial: the hymn sings will never be the same. Rest in great peace, Goldie.

When I was growing up there was always Cousin Goldie, a bastion of strength, common sense and kindness who was always so good to me. I remember the frequent trips to visit Wallace and Goldie when they lived in their home in West Paradise. Until we meet again dear Cousin. She was indeed a lovely lady. Let us draw on God's wisdom, strength, and peace, with thankfulness.

To Goldie's family, sad to hear of her passing but so thankful for her life. Goldie was a fine Christian lady who loved her husband, family and her Lord. I often spent an hour or two sitting on her bed at Saunder's, and listening to her interesting stories back when I pastored at Hampton. She was a great encouragement to me. It amazed me that she was so active and regularly read to those who were no longer able to do so--Goldie being 95 at the time. I visited her back in April while in hospital and so thankful that I had come into her life when I did. Even with poor health, she hadn't lost her "twinkle." You've lost someone precious.
