Obituary of Shirley Marie Marowitch

~~MAROWITCH (Hollett), Shirley Marie
Age 92, of Cornwallis Park, passed away peacefully Saturday, September 23, 2017 in the Annapolis Community Health Centre with her daughter Lynn by her side. Born in Halifax 18 September, 1925, she was the daughter of Albert and Mamie Hollett. She is survived by her daughter Lynn Nordland (Pete), Cornwallis Park; son Brian (Shannon), Clementsport; grandsons Christopher Nordland, Dartmouth/ Yellowknife; Jonathan Nordland (Julie Massicotte), Montreal; Kyle (Katie) Marowitch, Edmonton; Jordan Marowitch, Vancouver; Austin Marowitch, Edmonton; two great grandsons, Willem Nordland and Matheo Massicotte and one great grandchild on the way in May of 2018 via Kyle & Katie. Besides her parents, Nan was predeceased the father of her children, Peter Marowitch; by her brother Don Hollett and sisters Connie Grimes and Joyce Reardon as well as her very close niece Ginnie Fraser (Grimes) and nephew George Grimes. She is also survived by her brother-in-law Ken Reardon, nephews Kenny (Cindy) Reardon, Terry Reardon and Larry Grimes, and nieces Debbie (David) Lawrence, Judy (Allan) Dauphinee, Carol Reardon, Kathy (Stephen) McDonah, Paula Reardon, Linda Peverill, Christine Fraser, and Kelly Fraser. Nan was a soft spoken, dignified lady with a quick wit and who never spoke unkindly about anyone and who loved nature, especially hummingbirds, flowers and especially our dog Mack and cat Callie.  She was also a fanatic armchair sports enthusiast, especially when it came to curling, figure skating, Bluejay baseball and golf. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Kaulbach Family Funeral Home, 190 St. Anthony St., Annapolis Royal.  Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 26 from 7-9pm with a memorial service being held 27 September at 11am at the funeral home.  Following this, a celebration of life will be held at Felker Hall Cornwallis Community Centre at 1pm. A special thank you to Dr. Conyers and the staff in the Palliative Care Unit of the Annapolis Community Health Centre who ensured her last days were as comfortable as possible.
