Obituary of Gloria Rose Grant

~~Grant, Gloria Rose, 75 of Upper Clements, Annapolis Co. passed away Friday August 4, 2017 in Soldiers Memorial Hospital, Middleton. Born in Bridgetown she was a daughter of the late Everett and Vivian (McGowan) Young. She was a member of the First United Baptist Church, Annapolis Royal. Gloria loved to  crochet,  do crossword puzzles, cryptograms and enjoyed her rose gardens. She worked at the Royal Ann Motel for many years doing many different jobs. Gloria is survived by her companion Allison Rafuse of Kingston, daughter Lorraine ( Robert) Ripley of Enfield, son Larry (Tina) of Kentville, sister Beverly Phinney of Medicine Hat, AB., 2 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her step father George Hudson, husband Edmund Grant.
Cremation has taken place. A Memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday from the Kaulbach Family Funeral Home, Annapolis Royal with Rev. Dr. Elizabeth Legassie officiating. A reception will follow at the funeral home and interment will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery, Dugway Road. Donations in Gloria’s memory may be sent to the Annapolis Valley Palliative Care Unit , the Canadian Cancer Society or to a charity of one’s choice.
