Obituary of Elizabeth Ann Spurr

Please share a memory of Elizabeth to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

~~Spurr, Elizabeth (Betty) Ann, 80, of Clementsport passed away at home unexpectedly on July 21, 2017.  A lifelong resident of Clementsport, she was a daughter of the late Clifford and Gertrude (Gatheral) Ramsay. Professionally, Betty worked at CFB Cornwallis in various administrative service roles, retiring in 1990. Through her retirement, Betty was an avid crafter, having tried her hand at crocheting, ceramics, tole painting, cross-stitching, and quilting.  Many family members and friends have pieces of her handi-work in their homes.  In her latter years, she enjoyed bingo nights with friends, the challenge of a large jigsaw puzzle, and the comfort of a good western movie. She was also an avid reader.

She is survived by her three children, George (Debi) Dondale of Clementsport, Susan Woodland of Annapolis Royal, and Lisa (Tom) Wallace of Lower Sackville; one sister, Josephine Collins of Upper Clements; two brothers, John “Eddy” (Mary) Ramsay of Clementsport and William (Joan) Ramsay of Gander, NL; her three grandchildren (Melissa, Angela and Kathryn) and three great grandchildren (Jayden, Gavin and Tamara).  Betty was predeceased by her granddaughter, Christine Woodland, and also by her brother, Donald Ramsay.

Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of the Kaulbach Family Funeral Home, Annapolis Royal. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 25, 2017, at St. Louis Catholic Church, Annapolis Royal, with Father Vincent Onyekelu officiating. Interment will follow in St. Louis Catholic Cemetery. Donations in Betty’s memory may be sent to the Canadian Diabetes Association. Online condolences may be sent to www.kaulbachfamilyfuneralhome.com
