Obituary of Forrest Connell Phelan

~~Phelan, Forrest Connell 83 of Bridgetown, passed away May 25, 2017 in Mountain Lea Lodge, Bridgetown. Born in Bridgetown, he was a son of the late Alfred and Bessie (Condon) Phelan. Forrest owned and operated a trucking and scrap metal business for many years. He was a 30 year member of the Bridgetown Volunteer Fire Department. He was well known throughout the community and abroad and helped many people over the years. He is survived by his wife the former Shirley Poole, son Richard of Bridgetown; sister Mary Whiting of Windsor and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister Margaret Hailstone; brothers: Louis, Bill and John. Visitation will be held Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. and funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday all from the Kaulbach Family Funeral Home, Bridgetown with Father John MacPherson officiating. Interment will be in the St. Alphonsus Catholic Cemetery, Bridgetown.
