In KAF I had the pleasure and honour of working with Dick in "B" Shop. When we moved from the tent line to the ISO accommodations Dick was my room mate. His love of life and helping others shone brightly in a place where many felt far from home. His humour and positive inputs will be missed by all whose lives he touched. I am sorry for your loss and sad to hear Dick is no longer with us. I worked with him in Afghanistan and remember the first day he arrived. I was asking him where he was from and he told me I wouldn't know it. When he finally said he was from Kinloss, I had to tell him my dad and uncle live just down the road. He was such a pleasure to work with and be around. One of those who made life so far from home a little easer. I'll remember his laugh and his dedication to our task to support our fellow troops. He will be missed.

So very sad to hear of Dick's passing - Dick was a great friend to me in Afghanistan and him and I left together when our contracts were over - he made sure I was ok when we had a lay over in Germany. A very kind man. My deepest sympathies to his wife and children.
