Merritt, Mildred, Madeline - Granville Ferry, Annapolis Co., Nova Scotia. Mildred passed away peacefully on July 30, 2011, in the Heart of the Valley Nursing Home, Middleton, at the age of 84. Born in Lake LaRose, Nova Scotia, she was the daughter of the late William and Effie (Rice) Ramsay. Mildred is survived by, sister, Irma (late Russell) Clarke; son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Darlene; granddaughters, Carrie, Kimberley and Jennifer; and five great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Roscoe; brothers, Lloyd, Ronald, Borden and Mason; sister, Evangeline (late Alan) Marshall. Even though Mildred embraced her role as a military wife, family and Nova Scotia were always very dear to her. A heartfelt thank you to all who so generously provided her with the necessary care. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Kaulbach Family Funeral Home, Annapolis Royal. A memorial service will be held 2:00 pm, Saturday, August 20, in the Kaulbach Family Funeral Home, Annapolis Royal, with Rev. Gordon Neish officiating. Interment will follow in Old St. Edwards Cemetery, Clementsport. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
