Rose and family...so very sorry to hear of Bob's passing. Whether dealing with management issues during the Region's formative years; solving problems over a pint at Bramalea Place or exchanging stories around the card table it was always great spending time with Bob (and of course hearing his infectious laugh). Not too many people could both play Santa and lead an organization into the uncharted waters of I.T. Regardless of the issue - professional or personal - I always felt better after spending time with Bob. One of nature's gentlemen.

Bob played such an important role in my life. He was my boss during an important development time in my career and personal life. He served as a role model, coach and mentor, always caring as much (or more) about my personal well-being than about how well I was doing my job - not that the job didn't matter, but he kept it in perspective. His first instinct was to support, rather than criticize.
Bob brought joy and passion to whatever he was doing. When people described Bob, they always referred to his infectious laughter. He brought people together and created a happy environment, in which he and those around him were able to accomplish much good work.
Over the years, Bob became a dear friend. I admired his calm approach in dealing with his then children, through all of the curves that our kids throw at us. I learned from this, as well.
In every way, Bob was a fine man. He will be missed, but not forgotten.

Rosemary, we are so sorry to hear of Bob's passing. He was always so upbeat and chipper and I always enjoyed talking to him at the grocery store. We will miss him.

Dear Rose
I am very sorry for your loss. I was saddened when Roy Wiseman orinally told me that Bob had Alzheimer's. My mother died of dementia. I ca appreciate the heroic love you have shown in caring for Bob. I also heard of your many good years in Nova Scotia. I remember when Bob worked at the Region and lived in Georgetown. His children and mine played T-ball at a nearby park.
I wish all the best to you and the family

My sympathy to Rosemary and family on Bob's passing.
Even though we lost touch, my memories of Bob go back some 25 years when we both worked at the Region of Peel. I remember him for his great sense of humour and repartee.

IT IS PUTTING OUT THE LAMP
BECAUSE THE DAWN HAS COME."

My thoughts and love are with all of you in your loss of Bob.
So many wonderful memories of Bob - as my boss, my hockey coach, my neighbour but most of all as my loving friend. Bob was always there, in the good times with a glass of wine and a big laugh and in the sad times with a hug and comforting words. His contribution to the workings of the Region of Peel, the hours behind the plate as umpire at all those games, behind the bench at the hockey games but most of all behind his family every day with love and encouragement.
You will me missed but the memories will always be with us.
Love Jo

Dear Rosemary and the entire Perry Family
Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers.
I will always have fond memories of Bob and his quiet quick wit prior to his condition(s) taking full hold of him.
As I have always said, he was very fortunate to have such a devoted partner in you Rosemary - one who always ensured the best for him, particularly during these final years.
Big hug.

I remember reading "The Bad Beginning" by Lemony Snicket and though a children's novel, I still remember this quote: "If you have ever lost a loved one, then you know exactly how it feels. And if you have not, then you cannot possibly imagine it."
Words seem inadequate to express the sadness we feel at the passing of Bob, but having lost ones dear to me, I know that this is a long and painful road. We are praying that God, in all HIs love, HIs power, and His care, wrap you in His arms as you travel along and bring comfort and peace as you go.
Love,
Janice and Rod.
