Marshall, Pauline Frances, 91 of Smiths Cove passed away February 25, 2017 in the Digby General Hospital, Digby. Born in Sandy Cove at the family home she was a daughter of the late Marven and Ida (MacKay) Griffiths. Pauline started teaching in South Range at the age of 17 where she met her husband Gerald and they were married for 70+ years. She enjoyed square dancing with her husband, loved to travel, quilting, and line dancing .Her favorite thing however was family get togethers when family were all home.
Pauline is survived by her husband Gerald, sons: Gordon (Cathy Bowers) of Liverpool, Michael (Cindy) of Dartmouth; daughters: Eleanor (John) Roop of Smiths Cove, Sylvia (Doug) Woodman of Smiths Cove, Heather (Andy) Wilson of Digby,11 grandchildren,14 great grandchildren; sister Gwen Legare of Digby. She was predeceased by son Rodney, grandsons Kenny Roop and Steve Woodman, sisters: Dorothy Marshall and Alpharetta Shaw. Visitation will be held 2-3 p.m. Thursday March 2, 2017 at the Kaulbach Family Funeral Home, Annapolis Royal and where a private family funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday with Rev. Mark Cress officiating. Burial will follow in the Woodman Cemetery, Joggins Bridge. Donations in Pauline’s memory may be sent to a charity of one’s choice.
