Obituary of Lenora Theresa Mailman
Please share a memory of Lenora to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Lenora (Lynn) Theresa Mailman, 83 of Halifax passed away peacefully at the QEII on Feb 16, 2017 at 2:30 am. She was there with her loving husband of 57 years and her only son, Derek by her side.
Lynn, as she was known by most, was born on July 3, 1933 in Annapolis Royal. Daughter of the late Isaac and Jenny Thibodeau. She is survived by her husband, Paul (78) and her son, Derek (47). Other survivors include brothers, Louis (Goldie) Thibodeau, William (Bev) Thibodeau and Maurice Thibodeau. She is predeceased by brother, Frank Thibodeau and sister, Effie Reid.
After Lynn finished school, she decided to take up hair dressing, a trade that she excelled at and later opened up a salon in her home so she could be a homemaker and raise her son all while doing something she loved! In her spare time she like to garden and read the daily paper. I don't think there was a Crypto quote in the paper that she couldn't solve! Lynn was a very kind soul, she loved doing little things for people if she knew it would put a smile on their face. She also adored children and her face would light up at the presence of a baby or small child.
Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of the Kaulbach Family Funeral Home, Annapolis Royal, where a celebration of Lynn’s life will be held 2-4 pm Saturday February 25, 2017. Burial will take place in St. Louis Catholic Cemetery, Annapolis Royal at a later date. Donations in Lynn's honor may be made to the IWK Health Centre Foundation, Halifax.
