Obituary of Celia Olivia Hearn

Hearn, Celia Olivia – 89, of West Springhill, Annapolis Co., passed away in the Digby General Hospital, December 20, 2016. Born in West Springhill, November 19, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Wellington and Helen (Nass) Brown. Celia and her late husband Austin owned and ran the “Little Red Barn” in West Springhill, where you could hear traditional old time country music, for many years. Together, they also drove the rural route mail for a number of years. Seasonally, Celia could also be found working at the Milford House. In more recent years, she loved to play bingo. She is survived by her several nieces, and nephews Other than her parents she was predeceased by her husband, Austin; brother, Warren. A visitation will take place 7-9pm Tuesday, December 27, with a funeral service taking place 2pm Wednesday, both from the Kaulbach Family Funeral Home, Annapolis Royal with Pastor Herb Anderson officiating. Burial with follow in the Clementsvale Cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations in Celia’s memory may be made to the Clementsvale Cemetery.
