Obituary of Vera Mary Alice Veinot

Veinot, Vera Mary Alice – 84, Arlington East, passed away November 29, 2016, surrounded by her loving family in Soldiers Memorial Hospital, Middleton. Born in Pubnico, Nova Scotia, she was a daughter of the late Andrew Hines and Olive (Murphy) and step father, George Malcom. Mom always had a smile. She enjoyed receiving and making daily phone calls to her family. She always remembered everyone’s birthdays or special occasions. Vera enjoyed knitting mittens and socks; cooking, baking, playing solitaire, lexicon and watching her favorite tv shows The Talk and The View; she often listened to music and you would often hear her singing along. Vera is survived by her children, Allister (Margaret); Sandra (Herman) Plehn; Marjorie Coleman; Anita Alferes and Darlene Stailing (Toby); 15 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren; eight step grandchildren; two step great grandchildren; sister, Ella (Charles) Franks; sister-in-law, Nita and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Bert; son-in-law’s, Wayne Coleman and Donnie Stailing; grandson, Shawn Taylor; great granddaughter, Isabella Veinot; brothers, Leslie, Alvert, Eddie, Walter, Floyd and Ronnie; sisters, Thelma and Marion; sister-in-law, Bessie. Visitation will be held Saturday 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm, with a funeral service held Sunday, December 4th at 2 pm, both from the Kaulbach Family Funeral Home, Bridgetown, with Pastor Patty Beals officiating. Burial will follow in Round Hill Cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations made in Vera’s memory may be sent to TC Unit, Soldiers Memorial Hospital, Middleton or the Kidney Foundation. The family would like to say Thank-you to Dr. Saxon and to the TCU staff at Soldiers Memorial Hospital, Middleton for the wonderful care they gave our mom.
