Obituary of Thomas Fletcher Bartlett

Bartlett, Thomas Fletcher, of Annapolis Royal passed away on Sept.22, 2016 at the age of 87 in the Yarmouth Regional Hospital after a lengthy illness. Born in Weymouth, he was the son of Robert and Pearl (Prime) Bartlett. Predeceased by his parents and brother, Robert Neil and sister in-law Ruth (Crowell). Survived by his wife of 58 years, Lila; sister, Winnifred Dray of California; daughter, Karen (Edson) Hankinson of Victoria Vale; son, Thomas Michael (Wanda) of Digby; Grandchildren, Richard B. (Katie) Greene of Middleton; Gillian (Terrance) Lobe of Cold Lake, Alberta; Abbie Hankinson of Middleton; four great grandchildren, Hailey, Spencer, Carter and Cameron, Cold Lake. Also, extended family, Lorrie (Alec) Penny of Tremont and Family. Retired from Canada Post after 35 years, lifetime dedicated member of the Anglican Church of Canada, member of the Church choir, Church council, lay reader, taught Sunday school, received the lifetime achievement metal for the Canadian Cancer Society, drama group member for over 50 years in Weymouth and Annapolis Royal, and member of the Senior Club. Nothing brought him more happiness than those times he spent with family and his flower gardens. Visitation will be held 2-4 pm Sunday, September 25, form the Kaulbach Family Funeral Home, Annapolis Royal with a funeral service being held 2 pm on Monday September 26, from St. Luke’s Anglican Church, Annapolis Royal with Rev. Canon Ken Vaughan officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn cemetery, Lequille. Family Flowers only. Donations to be made to the Cancer Society or Charity of your Choice.
