I wish to express my sympathy to the family of Thelma Mitchell. I came to know her well in the years she was a resident at Crosskill Court, where I visit and entertain once a month. I was pleased to see the reference to Crosskill Court in the obituary, because it is an ideal place for the elderly in our community to find comfort and friendship. I last saw Thelma in May at the new Middleton nursing home where the Lawrencetown Male Choir sang a concert for the residents. Thelma lived a long and honorable life: now she is at rest.

On behalf of the congregations (Bridgetown,Centrelea & West Dalhousie) which are part of the Bridgetown Baptist Pastoral Charge, allow me to extend Christian sympathy to Thelma's children, brothers & sisters and extended family on her recent passing at age 91, after many years of faithful service to our Lord. I remember Thelma's regular graceful attendance at many of the monthly Friday afternoon Church services I led at Mountain Lea Lodge, while she was a Crosskill resident. Unfortunately. I am personally battling a bad cold and cannot attend the visitation tonight,or tomorrow morning's service (during the latter of which our Vacation Bible School is also ongoing). Sincerely in Christ, Pastor David Cumby

To all members of Aunt Thelma's family, our sincere condolences. I will never forget Aunt Thelma's kindness she showed me when I was growing up in Inglewood. I used to think she was the kind of mother that everyone should have, she was alot like Darlene's mom, who I respected alot. Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you all. Love, Fred and Darlene
