Lat last night, I saw the notice of today's memorial service. I immediately felt the need to be there, but prior commitments prevent that. Mary always was, and still sometimes is, a strong influence in my life. The lessons taught as my first Sunday School teacher, have stuck. My strongest memory is of the day she gave this advice: "Mary Jane, you need to hold out your hand, spit your words into it, put them back in, and then THINK hard before you say them". This problem remains at times, but her words are always there as a reminder of a woman whose unfailing strength and moral integrity were a guiding light to many. God is glad to welcome you, Mary.
