Taylor, Ella May – 84, formerly of Granville Center, passed away December 20, 2015 at Mountain Lea Lodge, Bridgetown. Born May 4, 1931, in East Ferry, Digby Co., she was a daughter of the late Daisy (Frost) and Truman Raymond. Ella grew up and had many interests. At a young age she went to work at the fish factory, then returned home to help her mother with chores around the home. Ella also looked after people who were ill and did housekeeping. She always wanted to be a nurse or a wren. She also had a love of sewing and quilting and spending time with family and friends. She enjoyed attending sewing circle in Granville Center, shopping, going to yard sales and then having a yard sale of her own. She took great pride in keeping her home spotlessly clean and her yard looking manicured. Her greatest love of all were her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Ella will be sadly missed by son, Terry (Carolyn) Taylor, Granville Center; daughter, Connie Taylor (Ruston Chute), Bedford; seven grandchildren; six great grandchildren; brother, Danny (Shirley) Raymond, East Ferry. She was predeceased by her husband, Clyde Victor Taylor; sisters, Twila and Martha; brothers, Hanford, Eugene, Glendon and Eldridge. Visitation will be held 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, with a funeral service being held 2 p.m. Wednesday both from the Kaulbach Family Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Annapolis Royal, with Rev. Dr. Randy Legassie officiating. Burial will follow in the Parkers Cove Cemetery. Donations in Ella’s memory may be sent to the Granville Center Hall or to the Children’s Wish Foundation.
