Obituary of Ethel Maude Durling

Durling, Ethel Maude, 92 of Bridgetown, passed away suddenly December 7, 2015 at Crosskill Court, Bridgetown. Born in Arlington, Annapolis County, she was a daughter of the late John and Susan (Sabean) Taylor. The happiest time in Mum's life was when she was surrounded by her family. Giving her a time when we would be back again for a visit always left a smile on her face. Mum's time living at Crosskill Court with her extended family was special to her as well. Mum enjoyed her church family who were near and dear to her. She is survived by daughters, Holly (Bill) Gesner, Bridgetown, Ardena (Paul) Pierce, Phinney Cove, Judy (Brian) Bent, Youngs Cove and Cindy (Jeff) Shaw, Moncton; son, Robert (Cori) Bennett of Stellarton; son-in-law, Allison Rafuse; 13 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; one great great grandson; brother, Gerald, Belleisle; special family friend Stephen Morash. Ethel was predeceased by husbands, George Bennett, Floyd Clayton and Lloyd Durling; daughter, Alberta Rafuse; son, Joseph Clayton; son Paul Bennett, son-in-law, John McGill, granddaughter Joy Comeau, brothers, Ansel, Robert, Frank, Leverett, Ralph, Ernest, Algie, Douglas, Herbie and George; sisters, Marjorie, Shirley, Adeline, Frances, Esther and Pearl. Visitation will be held Wednesday Dec. 9, 2015 from 7-9 p.m. in the Kaulbach Family Funeral Home, Bridgetown. Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 12, from the Bridgetown Baptist Church with Rev. Brian Wallace officiating. Burial will be in the Hampton Cemetery.
