Obituary of Ellen Laparde Owen

Owen, Ellen Laparde – 88, Bridgetown passed away August 26, 2015 in Mountain Lea Lodge. Born in Bridgetown, she was the daughter of the late Clarence Lucaw and Hattie Owen. Ellen was a strong, hard working mother, who loved her family dearly. Some of the other joys in her life were singing and making people laugh, as well as her great love for Our Lord. She is survived by her children, Cyril of Toronto, David (Cathy) of Black Rock, Linda Owen of Toronto, Gloria (Jimmy) Herron or Montreal, Tracy Owen of British Columbia; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great children; sisters, Mildred Stevenson of Bridgetown, Janette Stevenson and Diane Stevenson both of Halifax; brother, Ray of Winnipeg; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by sisters, Ella May Boyd, Violet Stevenson, and Isabelle Owen. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of the Kaulbach Family Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Bridgetown. A service of remembrance will take place 2:00 pm Monday, August 31, from the Kaulbach Family Funeral Home, Bridgetown, with Pastor Cathy Batson officiating.
